My opinion about my matariki being a public holiday
I think it should be that people believe in matariki should celebrate it with all there joy and excitement and that people who don't believe in it should still be able to go and you don't have to go if you don't want to.
so that was my opinion about matariki being the public holiday

Review on the book called Excellent Excuses By Tom Gates

For today's task we had to describe about the book that we read at school my book is from Tom Gates and the name of the book is Excellent Excuses.

Here is a brief explanation about the book Preteen  Tom Gates is caught in that period when he is 10 and he still sleeps with his teddy bear, and makes a cringe band. He has got to weeks off from school that he intends to eat sweets and watch TV and having fun with his friend Derek.

The Mysterious Rattling Bag

To day we had to finish off a writing and we have to edit and re-craft our writing when we're            finished it. We help we had the right about the picture that we were given and you could use a story starter if you wanted to but you don't have to if you don't want to

“It's valentine's day '' Dan said happily with excitement!  He went out to the store stepping in deep puddles full of murky water as the rain poured heavily. Dan bought his lovely girl friend some Chocolate Shaped like love hearts and put them in the paper bag. 
Dan got home and the bag started to rattle and hissing he was a bit freaked out but he was refusing to look at it. He was greeted by a wet door and he put the key in. Dan went to the living room and handed her the paper bag. It was a bit heavier than expected. She opened it and it led her to…To only one chocolate but when she looked underneath the hot pink box of chocolates she saw a rattlesnake! That jumped down in shock squirming up the stairs. 
Dan and Jess freaked out and called animal control. It was a thunderstorm so they couldn't make it which was really unfortunate for Dan and Jess. The huge python started eating everything it grew and grew. It started to slow down and shiver. It came at them with an urgent rush of hunger. It lunged at Jess smashing into the wall but Dan battered it with a frying pan putting it out of its misery Dan and Jess celebrate wish relief and say can carry on with Valentine's day.

For our reading task to day! We did a Character                                                        Table which's means you have to do Traits, Motives, Relationships and What Changes. For example relationships I did Broken Wing because he came to visit him everyday when he went fishing.
